Introduction to Lavalier Microphones

If you're a live sound technician in a theater or auditorium, or an aspiring filmmaker, you've undoubtedly heard of lavalier microphones. Sometimes referred to as lapel or clip-on mics, lavaliers are useful in situations where your speaking talent is mobile. The problem with lavalier microphones is that they are very finicky, and can have feedback or audio quality problems if not used properly.
