We're married creatives from Cleveland, Ohio.
Megan & Nick Kuhar are both percussionists, technology specialists, and educators.
Nick is the Chair and co-founder of the Film Department at St. Edward High School. In the past year, Nick has coached several St. Edward film students into renowned film schools (New York University, University of Southern California), and has served as the lead producer of two short documentaries: Out Of The Garden, which features the stories of Syrian refugees who have resettled in Northeastern Ohio, and Razzle Dazzle, a NATAS award-winning piece that features the all-special needs cast of Beck Center for the Arts' annual "Razzle Dazzle" musical revue. Nick also serves as the drummer and co-founder of Cleveland-based "loud chamber pop" six-piece The Commonwealth.
Megan is an Assistant Professor of Music Technology at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, where she studied Percussion and Arts Management as an undergraduate. She previously taught Audio Engineering at Cuyahoga Community College, and received her Master's in Music Technology from The University of Akron with a focus in social media marketing for musicians. Most recently, she has collaborated with members of the Cleveland Orchestra as well as Valerie Naranjo--the long-time percussion for Saturday Night Live--to create contemporary, concise videos that capture these master artisans in the peak of their musical expression. Megan also serves as the lead percussionist--as well as a background vocalist and multi-instrumentalist--in The Commonwealth.
heypoletti! was formed out of Megan's own heypoletti! recordings LLC, which was founded in 2010 as an on-location audio recording company. Throughout the years, it has evolved into what it is today: equal parts production company, collaborative media group, and educational resources for creatives.
